The Ministry of Public Works and Transport of the Government of the Canary Islands has awarded the “MONITORING AND SUPERVISION OF THE NEW GC-1 MOTORWAY WORKS. SECTION: PUERTO RICO–MOGÁN. ISLAND OF GRAN CANARIA” to the SISTEMA INGENIERIA–GEOCONTROL joint venture after a public invitation to tender.

The 6.2-km section, to be completed by the FCC–ISOLUX–PETRECAN joint venture, consists of the construction of a new motorway that will run through several tunnels due to the unevenness of the terrain.
